Hexagonal Shaped Poisons

1.MONSTER 22.5cm tall cobalt hexagonal MANCHESTER & SALFORD HOSPITAL FOR SKIN DISEASES embossed over three panels with POISON NOT TO BE TAKEN on one other panel.Has some slight damage to the top of the lip which has been ground and polished but is noticable. A rare large size "pox" bottle ie for skin diseases think of "social diseases"!! A rare variation of this poison but the condition is not mint so only $65  SOLD

2. 16.5cm tall cobalt hexagonal embossed MANCHESTER & SALFORD HOPSITAL FOR SKIN DISEASES over three panels and NOT TO BE TAKEN on another. Near mint condition - just two small surface air bubbles on one edge $100 SOLD

3. 14.5cm tall cobalt hexagonal, almost identical to bottle above - same embossing etc but has 4oz on base. Great shiny condition $90 SOLD

4. 21.5cm tall green hexagonal. Has warning vertical ribs embossed down two panels, three panels are blank. 18oz embossed on  base. $35 

5. 18.5cm tall green hexagonal embossed - MANCHESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY - has two panels of embossed warning lines. This bottle has a lot of character as it resembles crackle glass. Most sides have a good number of heat stress cracks. It also has bowed sides and a neck leans to one side. A highly unusual small red patch INSIDE the glass completes the picture on this oddball. $40  

6. 19cm tall green hexagonal embossed MANCHESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY. Very slight cloudy patches in places - $35

6. 17cm tall green hexagonal embossed from MANCHESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY - the "from" being in unusual script writing. Two panels with embossed vertical warning lines. Slight flaw ina  glass wall near the base otherwise near mint. $35

35. JUMBO 18cm MOSS green rectangular embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN in a wide panel and has 16oz embossed on the  base. Another rarity $60

36. 18cm tall DEEP cobalt blue rectangular embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN down the  front plus has 10 oz embossed on the base. Slightly rough edge on the front but very rare in this large size  $40

37. 18cm green rectangular embossed NOT TO BET TAKEN dowe front and also has 12 oz embossed on the front. Sparkling condition, great bottle !! $40

37. 17.5cm tall green rectangular embossed POISON NOT TO BE TAKEN in a panel down the front. Very slightly cloudy surface bit only in small patches. A RARE green poison $45

38. 16.5cm tall green rectangular embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN down front panel. Has 10oz embossed on base. $40

39. 16.5cm tall mid blue rectangular embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN down the front. Also has 10oz embossed on the front at the base. Two small scratches on the rear but again rare in this large size. $40

Square Section Poisons

43. 13cm tall cobalt square section embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN on one side and MANCHESTER HOSPITAL FOR CONSUMPTION on the opposite one. This is a very scare Manchester hospital poison $85 SOLD

44. 15.5cm tall emerald green square section embossed MANCHESTER HOSPITAL FOR CONSUMPTION. It has no warning lines or message so could be a medicine rather than a poison but it goes well with the poison. Does have two small surface air bubbles. Only $35 

45. 15cm tall attractive emerald green chemist round/poison. Has original and matching greenglasss stopper and warning vertical lines $35

Oval Shaped Poisons

46. Gigantic  22.cm tall aqua oval warning poison bottle embossed POISONOUS NOT TO BE TAKEN  going down the body. This is a rare variant anyway but is especially so in this rare large size. A MONSTER and only $ 30 (never had one in anything like this size before either !) 

47.. MONSTER 20.5cm tall cobalt oval embossed POISON NOT TO BE TAKEN in a raised panel on the front. You don't see many of these nowadays !! $45

48. 20.5cm tall cornflower blue oval embossed NOT TO BE TAKEN and POISON inside a large panel on the front. It s an ABM bottle but what a color !! $35

49. 17.5cm tall cobalt oval embossed  NOT TO BE TAKEN down front in a panel. . Not a common oval type poiosn by any means $30. 

50. 17cm tall cobalt oval POISON NOT TO BE TAKEN Inside a panel on front of bottle $25

51.16.5cm tall cobalt  oval embossed CARBOLIC ACID POISON in a panel on the front $25

52. 16.5cm tall cobalt oval embossed CAUTION and AMMONIA (in larger letters) and NOT TO BE TAKEN down the front. Also NATIONAL at top of front and AMMONIA on rear shoulders. A very nice cobalt poison in good condition,. $45

53. 16.5cm tall aqua oval embossed KILLGERM DISINFECTANT and POISONOUS NOT TO BE TAKEN amongst a full face of vertically embossed warning lines. VERY RARE AQUA POISON yet only $20 to you !!

54. 15.5cm tall aqua oval, embossed CAUTION and POISONOUS (in larger letters) and NOT TO BE TAKEN down the front with AMMONIA on the front shoulder at top. Has attractive warning raised bumps between the embossing and is only $20 !!

Cylindrical Shaped Poisons

55. 20cm tall light cornflower blue cylindrical POISON on front shoulder above 9 shallow U-Shaped grooves KILNER BROS MAKERS at base, rear shoulder has POISON above 9 shallow u-shaped warning grooves. Great condition $45

56. 18cm tall lighter cornflower blue cylindrical embossed POISON on just one shoulder $25.

57. MONSTER 30 cm tall "SASH" whisky shape poison. It is embossed POISONOUS NOT TO BE TAKEN in a "sash" across the front and also has R GERRET & SONS LEVEN embossed on the rear shoulder. Note the unusual basket weave" warning effect on this bottle. Dark green and in great condition. Its ABM but one rare whisky poison $55

58.. MONSTER 30cm tall  Dark Olive green whisky shape embossed THE PLYNINE & CO LIMITED HOUSEHOLD AMMONIA. This bottle is more of a beer bottle shape but is covered in large numbers of raised warning bumps. A bimal bottle too and it comes with its original internal screw stopper!! $45

74. MONSTER 17 cm tall Brownglass  TOXOL poison embossed BOOTS THE CHEMIST in one panel and TOXOL in another with two panels covered in a latice warning effect.. VERY rare in this large size - $40 7

75. 19cm tall cobalt rectangular but sides almost make it hexagonal - this is the so-called ground lip flask poison. Has POISONOUS NOT TO BE TAKEN on front, three rows of raised diamond points down sides. Registered number of 590540 is embossed at the back of the bottle on the base.12oz embossed on base on this rare large size Very small flake of glass missing from lip and a flake missing of the side at the base - still displays well ! $55 SOLD
